States having definite approval for Electrologists performing laser are, Massachusetts, Vermont, North Carolina and Florida. Residents of other states, please check with your state regulatory agency for individual state requirements. Laser technology will now be included in the 1100-hour Electrology Program.
For anyone who is already licensed looking to add laser and/or IPL, our course meets the needs of all professionals. Having a state license is a prerequisite for taking this course.
30-Hour Laser/IPL Course — $1895
State Approved Course!! Training is concentrated on knowledge and understanding of basic laser safety and technical variables governing laser hair removal. Use of good judgment and knowledge of essential theory is crucial to successful laser hair reduction. Two classifications of medical laser devices covered are, Class IV LASER and IPL, Class II. Laser light is a narrow beam of energy that selects and heats specific targets without damaging surrounding tissue. IPL stands for Intense Pulse Light where energy targets the pigment in the hair follicle by using selective photo-thermolysis.
Breakdown: 10 theory hours & 20 clinical hours

Students will monitor clients who have been receiving laser and IPL treatments and will follow the progress and time spacing required for treatment schedules. Case history cards available for review for each client. Convenient ongoing schedule of classes offered in a comfortable well-equipped facility.
